The SunTrust Delta SkyMiles Debit Card offers an attractive introductory bonus of 5,000 SkyMiles when you make your first qualifying purchase. Qualifying purchases include a variety of transaction types, such as PIN and signature-based purchases, online transactions, phone or mail orders, and automatic bill payments. With Delta SkyMiles valued at approximately 1.2 cents per point, this bonus is equivalent to a $60 value. In addition to the sign-up bonus, cardholders earn one mile for every $2 spent on eligible purchases, translating to 0.5 points per dollar spent. While this rewards rate may not match that of Delta’s credit cards, it can still be a valuable option for SunTrust customers who may not qualify for traditional credit cards due to limited credit history or poor credit.
